but is it not amazing how any further info seems to be locked down.

there are many with some connections, but there seems to be no info being allowed to get out about his condition.

Also, that was the WT to covering their legal ass yet again. We've dropped the ban. We are not responsible for those deaths! Pretty soon it'll be 1975 all over again.

The average JW will still believe that a blood transfusion is banned in the bible and be caused undue pain emotionally, physically and spiritually.

on this thursday past, they got the worst news imaginable: it's turning into leukemia.

this is not regular leukemia, but what is called acute myelogenous leukemia which is far, far worse than regular leukemia.

I'm sorry you and your family are going through this and having the WT policies lurking around only make it worse.

I have a dear friend who, while in remission for her breast cancer, developed CML (involves the mature white cell). AML involves the immature white cell.

She has amazing success stories, not only her own, but many others. She's very involved and is an amazing support to others. A positive attitude is a must and there is no reason why your BIL can't be one too. She mentioned there were some clinical trials with a new treatment called gleevec that had promising results.

Also is there a Wellspring close by? Wellspring is awesome and will teach patients and their families how to maintain a good attitude along with some fabulous coping skills including relaxation, visualizaiton, yoga, tai chi.....all Free.

i wondered if you could answer this question for me?

you seem to be fine with the fact that they are false prophets, that they have changed the bible and that they have entered into an agreement to "uphold the aims of the un".. what is the deal breaker for you?.

i suspect that there isn't one, and that is not a reasonable position.. please tell me there is something they could do that would make you question their legitamacy?.

I have a suggestion

I'm not an EX witness but these things still affect me

and I think there are people that are still witnesses that would be willing to agree

so maybe the exjw in the title is too exclusive? only former members have complaints? I don't think so.

might get more support/publicity for this cause from people against severe shunning etc. in principal if it were open to all.

One family was given special attention by the Bethel Elders because as a result of their son witnessing such a traumatic event he suffered an asthmatic attack and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

hi, sherri.. i want to thank and commend you for your efforts in exposing the watchtower society for its history of deception, doctrinal flip-flops, and false prophesying about the end of the world.. i belong to a discussion board of mostly ex-jehovah's witnesses, and your revelations about the wts on the view have caused many to seek out our site.. one thing i'd like to ask, are you aware of the wt's past view that black people are inferior to others?.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read in an old WT that if you were black, you'd turn white in the perfect world. Or that they used to make blacks sit in the back (kind of like the way they treat bad JWs now)

Well, I think that since they used to believe in the divinity of Christ, once they decided to make the change - Jesus demoted to angel - they had alot of work ahead of them.

Obviously they missed a few.
